Hi, I have had a Janome 300e for many years, most of which it has been packed away. I have recently decided its time to make use of the machine but when I turn it on it makes a hammering noise. The machine says lift the needle slowly and raise presser foot. I have tried this many times but it is not making any difference. I have checked to make sure there are no obstructions to the feed dog etc. I have cleaned the machine inside and out. Nothing seems to work, Any suggestions please
