fake insects?

Can't interest you in a few pounds of real Asian ladybugs, can I?

American Science & Surplus Online at: sciplus.com search for "bug" lots cool stuff- bugs, bats, rats, other crawlie things... and an excellent source for the tinkerer to play with. They have a couple of stores (chicago and milwaukee) but will send a catalog that's well worth getting for the item descriptions alone.

mostly odd toys and such, may have some insects but interesting for their other toys. Vic /disclaimer- not connected with either SciPlus or Mcfee, etc, etc... I shill for no one but meself.

If they don't have to be life-size, check the toy department at Wal-Mart.

A few years ago, when I was the systems programmer for a small software development company, I instituted the "Bug Of The Week Award". The application programmer who found the most interesting bug in our code received a certificate, recognition in a company-wide e-mail, and a many-times-life size plastic bug. I got the bugs in packages of ten or a dozen, for about five bucks, at the Wal-Mart just down the street.
