Good point. Lots of good newsgroups get screwed up by people who can't understand that the purpose of the trolls posting crap like that is to get a response. Sad part is that many of those responders were also too stupid to learn that that's why the trolls posted regardless of how many times they were informed of that fact. They insisted on continuing to post their responses of righteous indignation making the trolls post even more inflammatory stuff. So the newsgroup residents posted more indignant responses and the trolls even more inflammatory statements and the residents even more indignant responses . . . A perfect demonstration of a vicious circle. It forced me to leave rec.woodworking several years ago. I had reached the point of kill filing so many good people there that refused to learn that simple bit of logic and having to wade through so much crap that it wasn't worth the effort to go back. And I occasionally see some of those kill filed people quoted in some other newsgroups I frequent. But I just can't see the point in clearing them out of the filter.

Get a different provider, I never saw the post in question (auto-killed)

It's the "Anagram Troll", named due to his moniker being an anagram of some famous or infamous person. Been around for quite awhile. He makes up inflammatory crosspostings and hopes folks will crosspost replies to his "scorecard" newsgroup of the month. Tom
