Homemade finish

First I apologize cause I'm sure this was on here not long ago. I searched the archives and couldn't find it. Someone was talking about making their own finish with a combination of 3 things. ????Boiled linseed oil????Denatured Alcohol????XXXXXX?????

I'm not sure any of the above are correct. I'd appreciate a point in the correct direction.TIA

Wasn't there another recipe that is also three equal parts, involving beeswax but something other than denatured alcahol?

Alex

I don't know aboujt a 3 part finish but beeswax and mneral oil makes a nice food safe finish. Melt the beeswax in a double boiler then add mineral oil. A

50/50 mix sets up fairly solid. If you want a softer mix add more oil.

My personal fave: Behlen's Rockhard Tabletop Varnish VMP Naptha Boiled Linseed Oil

To start out with it go with roughly equal parts of each then modify the ratios to better work the way you want and your climate.
