Today I took the head stock on my Delta lathe apart to put on a new belt. Putting it back together I could not get the retainer to seat. I emery clothed it, sprayed it with WD 40 and even took a mallet to the drive shaft but nothing worked, so I said the hell with it and roughed out a bowl. After turning the bowl, I turned my attention to the retainer and to my surprise it had seated itself. Yes, I believe in Ghosts!
