The Kansas City woodturning community lost one of its favorite sons this week. John Shackleford passed away on Tuesday due to complications from leukemia. John was a good friend and mentor to me as well as many others in the KC area. His enthusiasm for turning and his willingness to share his experience and expertise with others was an inspiration to us all. He will be sorely missed.
