I encourage any turner within driving distance to attend this demo. I had the privilege of attending an intergenerational course at John C. Campbell Folk School, along with my grandson, in July where Linda was the instructor. She is a very talented and personable lady.

I'm arriving in the area late that afternoon. So an hour or two late instead of a day -- too bad the dollar is going in the other direction.

Out of curiosity, why is the Pembroke Woodturners Guild located in Corfu instead of Pembroke especially since they are meeting in Pembroke? You Yankees always were confusing. Guess that I moved (from Batavia). 8^)

Because the Pembroke school where we meet is technically located in Corfu. Basically, Pembroke, Corfu and East Pembroke all converge, and the school is located in the Corfu area.

I guess this former Yankee was confused too. Forgot about having had that conversation a while back with some family members. Off shoot of a discussion about the Cincinnati (OH) airport being in Boone County KY on land owned by Kenton County, KY. At least that's the way I got the story. Of course, that's northern Kentucky and they're awful strange up there. Pretty close to being Yankees. 8^)
