Just beginning need help ,what should a start need for hand tools,and any suggestions for wood,size how to get pattern??? basically any help will do,thanks

Check out c. j. hummul web site. might try typing in stiller patterns. They have their own site also. Might give the message board at Woodcarving Illustrated's web site a look see, plus the carving path. Both have a wealth of info on them. One more site would be Chris Pye's web site. He may be British, but his web site covers carving about as completely as one could.

Here's a hand up. Your text post is being read in alt.binaries.crafts.pictures. That NG is not what the name implies. We do have an agreed shared use of ABCP for those in the woodworking NGs who look for somewhere to post their binary files. Your text post would not be read here by the woodworking readers.
