Looks good James. One thing you may consider is to have paths between the Galleries rather than having to go back Home to get to the next Gallery. What is the sketch on the left hand side of the page?
I enjoyed my look at your nice work, Jim. Reckon you would _have to be a big boy to run that lathe. Is it your old Conover, just upgraded? ;) All best, Arch
Fortiter,
Thanks Ralph, The sketch is part of a blueprint. I put new links in for the gallerys this evening. Jim
Hello James,
One thing that I noticed immediately was that Homestead Builder uses absolute positioning. Because my vision is not as good as it was when I was in my twenties, I set my browsers to ignore syle sheet font sizes and instead view at a larger size. What I saw first was overlapping text until I reduced the text size. Be aware that many older viewer may wish to view with a larger text.
I enjoyed viewing your website. Nice work! I also added a link from my website to yours.
James, I'll echo all teh other good words but add that with my browser your internal links kept opening new browser session. After a short period of time I ended up with 8 sessions open, most of them being the index page. Nevertheless, not a bad first effort. David
I see you use Shellawax! I must say, its one of my favorite finishes for the smaller items. Gives a nice shiny surface doesn't it. Your website looks good to me. Lots of nice piccies to gawk at :)

James, Good use of pages to organize. I'd like to see a picture of you somewhere, and definitely a picture of a turning on the home page.
James, Nice site, and nice work. It's easy to see the Raffan influence in your boxes. The navigation works well. The only thing I noticed was when I closed the window to leave the site all the previous windows were still open, and I had to close them one by one to "back out" of the site. Maybe it's just me.

Nice Work! Enjoyed looking at your work. Like Jim Gott observed, had to close galleries one at a time to back out.

As the modified subject line says: Technical Stuff. Indeed, too many popup windows is part of my message but it is not the major part of it.
If you can come up with some way to describe W3C HTML or CSS validation or usability standards problems without tech-speak please go ahead. It might help out and I'd certainly like to find out how to do it better. I did my best to prevent brain blowouts among the non tech speakers but must have failed. But such subjects are part of evaluating the overall quality of a web site no matter how painful they might be.
