I am quite new to wood turning but I am haveing a lot of fun learning. After taking some of your opinions into account I have just got myself the Oneway talon chuck and it is an excellent choice. I like the fact that it can be adapted to fit different threads as a new lathe will be coming along at some point in the not to distant future(my current thread is 3/4 x 10 tpi which narrowed the choice down some what). The lathe I have was left to me and it has done the job of getting me going but I feel the need of somthing a bit more solid, so no doubt you will be hearing from me soon after more info on lathes and general advice.
