Re: Streptohedron infection.

I haven't picked up the magazine with the article yet, but I did get David Springett's book "Woodturning Wizardry" from the library.

Holy Smoke!

Springett makes these tricks easy to understand and provides comprehensive instructions and decent pictures. I feel that there is no way that I'm capable of the skill, or possibly the patience, to do this work yet, but I enjoy reading the articles, and he makes it simple enough that I probably will try these someday - since I like this "impossible object" kind of thing.

Perhaps I'll go buy that magazine now for his geometric object constructions (it isn't carried in the libary and the local wood store has it for $10. which put me off a bit). On a more economical note, my local library branch now carries Fine Woodworking which I have always liked, although I cancelled my subscription when they became a bit thinner fiveish years back.

Hi Stephen, Ten bucks, Holy Smoke! I'll send you a xerox, if rcw's lawyers say it's ok.

Funny, we buy a machine superbly designed to make things round. Then we immediatey start thinking about how to make things eccentric, off center and angular. ;) Let us know what you think about the articles. Regards, Arch
