Morning Mirjam, bit like me then, I've been up a couple of hours, but still not got my head into gear yet..

I am hoping to get back onto the loom sometime this afternoon, after lunch, I also want to look at the stool I sit on for this, it squeaks all the time, so some Linseed oil on it's wood I think, and tighten up all the screws.....lol

Take care, not read the book, is it in English?? hugz cher

Hee CHER ,, all the USA ladies aren`t here with us ,, thus we can talk as much as we want [ hahahha] ... Yes the bopok is in English in fact it is a Penguin Book , 2005. Man said Bathroom did`t leak , only the lines between the ceramic wall tiles are a bit open, thus he wiped the wall , and mixed some white stuff and filled those Mini lines. If the other side won`t show marks of drying we can open the wall ... Luckiy all wall [wet walls] are open to air and Springy Dry weather lets us keep windows open. Than had Cleaning lady who worked hard, with me ,,, and now it is back to the loom . mirjam

Now we are back again -- It is a little after 7 am here. Today we fly to Las Vegas. It is not my favorite place but there will be many people there that I will be glad to see again. I hope I have packed what I need - since I do not dress up here at home, there is always the possibility that I will forget something important. (People dress very casually where I live - and I am at home much of the time as well.) Also, the weather is way different in Las Vegas and I don't have a lot of clothes that go with hot and dry weather (not what the Pacific Northwest has often.)

I am taking some yarn to make squares and some leftover sock yarn to make baby socks for charity. I was hoping to finish off the top I have been working on but it looks like I won't be quite done. I guess that will have to wait.

Off to warm up the shortcake - We have some strawberries that won't wait for our return so I am going to eat strawberry shortcake for breakfast.

I'll see you all in a week or so - may get some computer access but probably not much until I get home.

Good day Mirjam It's 4 in the afternoon for me, and because of the bad cold I have, I'm not doing much of anything today. I spent the early part of the day in bed, hoping to get rid of this cold. Now both of my eyes are swollen and the whites are now red. I look pretty bad (laugh).

I have a mystery book from the library, so will try to read for a while. I guess the work on my bathroom will have to wait for a few days.

Hi Mirjam

A very busy Sunday here...my oldest child (DD age 10 1/2) got confirmed this morning (Anglican church). I rushed around doing final touches on the dress I made for her, and the one I made for her sister to wear as well. Then we went for a family dinner at her favourite restaurant. I used your moebius pattern to make a wrap for DD2 to wear out of Lion Brand Microspun in the turquoise colour, which is the exact shade of the Chinese brocade I used for her dress. The confirmation dress is winter white heavy satin and is nicely simple. Photos here, if anyone's interested:

Very pretty dresses (and your daughter too, of course)... and I have to say that you are very clever to be able to hang a dress (the blue one) sideways without it falling over. LOL I just *had* to, you know! hehehe Just teasing... it is very pretty!

Mirjam, I checked up about the book, and see I think it is very good. They say, among many good things about the book, that Nicole Krauss is a fantastic story teller. I ordered the AUDIO-BOOK at library now, but they haven't got it yet, I think I am nr. 1 at the list! LOL! These days so much happens, and I have not much time for reading. Then it's better to have something GOOD to listen to, while knitting, doing a bit in the garden, or do the dishes! That makes the days better! Hugs, AUD ;-)

Why, yes, didn't you know I'm clever enough to manage that? :P

I forgot to turn the photo...oops!

They did turn out rather pretty, didn't they? Sometimes I surprise myself....but it was lovely fabrics and relatively simple patterns, too, so there wasn't much I could screw up!
