GOOD Sunday morning april 23rd

Good Sunday all ... after a bit lazy weekend , here i am into a very busy week ... and a hard one menatlly . But i will just try and work long hours thus making up for lost time. Last weeks i read amongst other books the Full version of Anne Frank`s diary , in the original Dutch. Years ago [ when i was 12 which makes it 52 years and 11 months ago] i recieved her diary in it`s shortened [ and culled by her father] version, and translated into Hebrew. Of course reading it in Dutch seems more Natural, Also the full version includes many details that have been taken out at the time. It seemed always quite Mysteriousto me that she was Born on June 12th like me , But several years before me. The diary was started Exactly one year Before i was born ,,, It seemed like a spell. The other Important lady born on 12 June was Anni Albers , the great Bauhaus Artist and teacher. Weather is a bit gray, and Summer competes aily with winter , thus we have a warm day and colder nights, i can already get up and don`t have to put a morning coat, nore is it bad to walk on the stone floors ,, Still , a shawl is recomended ,, when you go out .. And it seems a bit windy and Sun hides behind some clouds that might squeeze some rain drops ,,,, Good morning alll mirjam

...and good Sunday morning to all of you.

Today has been a truly lazy day in our house. The German exchange student went home last night. In about 45 days, our son will go to his house in Germany and his mother can do ALL my son's laundry and ALL my son's cooking and tell my son more than once to get up in the morning! ;-) Actually, I keep telling everyone that I'm sending my son with 21 pairs of socks and underwear...all of them numbered so that he can throw them out each day. I told the German kid that it will be his job to check the trash each day to make sure my son changed! ROFL! I believe we did a good job letting the exchange student know the important American stuff...like: Bohemian Rhapsody is a head banging song as per the movie "Wayne's World" Apparently, he had never seen the movie though he new of Mike Meyers because of Austin Powers. We bought the movie, then gave it to him to take back and show all the kids in Germany how to act when they hear Bohemian Rhapsody. He also will be going back knowing that American moms cut the lawn in their barefeet and that American husbands wash all the dishes. Right? ;-) And of course, dandelions are evil! I sent him onto the plane with 15 glow stick bracelets since they don't have them in Germany. He had enough for all

12 German kids on the plane...I hope the other passengers didn't mind. hehehe On a knit/crochet note: I haven't picked up a needle or hook in months, but my son needed poster board the other day, so I stopped in AC Moore. It seemed ridiculous to us my charge card for $1.50, so I bought two skeins of Red Heart. You see, the Germany kid spent a lot of time wearing a knit cap. I was informed by a hairdresser friend that this is the latest method of straightening hair amongst the younger generation. I think I'll knit him a cap for my son to take with him to Germany.

That's about it. I don't have to play June Cleaver anymore, so I never got out of my sweatpants and t-shirt today. Phew! Life is good!

Love, Jenn

Hi -- I have been away all weekend at a meeting and am now getting ready to leave for a play with DH. The weather here is absolutely perfect today. My computer issues are not yet solved but I have figured out how to check in here occasionally. Judy

Happy Sunday to all of you,

I have to let you know that my time to check in here is limited, but I love to peek in at least weekly, and the Sunday posts are so warm and welcoming. Thank you!

Here in Pennsylvania it was a beautiful spring day with a little bit of rain this evening. I cooked and did housework most of the day but did manage to knit for a couple hours. I am 3.5 inches into the next attempt at a sock. This time it is on size 3 bamboo needles with Lion Brand magic stripes yarn, using the pattern from Lion Brand's website.

It looks like this week may be a bit less busy at work, so perhaps I'll have a heel-turning sometime soon.

Jenn,

Just thought I'd let you know that my 6 year old & 3 year old LOVE Bohemian Rhapsody (via Live Aid, not the Mike Meyers movie). They go around singing "Mama mia mama mia let me go". That's all they know. It's really funny.
