Good morning to all and special thanks to all who joined my post yesterday. I noted the answers last night , but was too tired to answer. I meant to take a good morning walk before starting my day`s work. There is still no sign of our Pipes man and we really need him, he doesn`t answer his phone service ,,, Thus i will go by his aunt`s shop ans ask where he is ? if he isn`t availiable i will have to quickly invite another the wall is WET .. Good morning, Mirjam! I'm back from my travels. I took knitting along but was too tired to touch it. I've been working on a cranberry colored scarf forever. It got cast aside when I decided to learn crochet. Now I'm working on it again. It's just garter stitch so it should be done soon.

When I looked out my w> Good morning to all and special thanks to all who joined my post

Our crabapples trees were very pretty this year. Here are a couple of pics if you're interested. Oh, and I was just commenting to DH the other day that I didn't remember them being so fragrant as they were this year.

BB,

Loved the pictures of your crabapples. They are so beautiful. When I was growing up, the neighbor across the street had a huge crabapple in her front yard that would be so full of bees while in bloom, you could here the buzzing from across the street.

Thanks for sharing

Maybe that's it! Although with all of the sunny days we have had, it doesn't seem like there has been more rain. It seems the scent is much weaker when the trees are wet so when it rains during the day, there is less. Now if it could just rain during the nights every spring! :)

Thanks Hesira,

The pictures don't show how pretty they really are. I haven't noticed a lot of bees though. Now when we had a pear tree, we had lots of bees. DH chopped it down, in part because of the bee problem. I wish it hadn't been so close to the house.

Oh, BB! Thanks SO for sharing those pics! Our trees are just now starting to blossom as we FINALLY got rain after a bit of a drought. I know they're always prettier in person than in pics, but I enjoyed seeing them tremendously anyhow.

Huge smiles, Eve :o)

I totally missed the original posting, so I didn't see the pictures mentioned. However, thank you for the reminder of the bee problem with your pear tree. We had a pear tree in our back yard of the house I grew up in, and recently I have been thinking how nice it would be to have something like that again. I had totally forgotten about the bees until I read that in your message, and it clicked *oh yeah, there WERE a lot of bees around that tree*. Guess I'll either just forget about fruit trees, or at least think about putting them at the far end of the back yard if we do ever get any again. :o)

Peace! Gemini
