May &th SUNDAY , again ,,,,,,

Good Sunday Morning to All, It is overcast and drizzling here this morning. We have had rain so much this week that I think my toes are webbed. My plan for the day is to straighten out the extra bedroom. This is where the computer, yarn stash, and sewing stuff is located. My DS will be home from college next weekend. I continue to work on the golf club covers for my dad. I knitted the number in on the first one and I am not pleased with my attempt at changing colors. He will be fine with them so I need to just keep practicing. Have a great week everyone. Carol in TN

Hi Mirjam

Very early Sunday here; in fact, I'd still call it Saturday night. It's almost 2am and I have to pick up DH from work. I'll then go back to bed! My plans for the morning include making some necklaces as a donation to a local charity that will distribute them to graduates to wear to their dances. In the afternoon my two DDs have a cadet inspection so I'll go and watch their drill and inspection and awards.

Thank you mirjam, I have to go to bed to find that Sunday, and it is raining here. Just a bit of a drizzle, but still it is rain.

See you tomorrow on Sunday

Good sunday to you all! It's nearly eleven here, I was early awake, had a good cup of coffee and an early, light breakfast. Enjoied the sun, warmth and peace, reading a book which is a sort of love declaration to Barcelona! So you understand I will be sure to "be in the mood" when leaving on saturday!LOL!

I have been out in the garden, planting some seed plants over to pots, we call it to "prikle", but I have no idea what it is in English. The fiord is like a mirror, and I will phone my MIL to check if she is well enough to go with me on a boat trip, she will enjoy it when we ARE in the boat, And afterwards! But she was not quite well yesterday, I think I have to persuade her, or better tempt her! She is a very nice lady, 80 in June; But she don't feel quite well for the time being, and have a huting hip, which surely takes much of her force/strenght.

Have a nice day! AUD ;-))

Good morning all, it's 11a.m. here, I've just got back from Church (Family Service with lots of children and the theme of "sheep", we all drew ourselves as sheep, great fun) Dh has gone off to fetch his Mum to visit for lunch and the afternoon. It's a bit grey and overcast here but mild. Glad the exhibition went well Mirjam, and that you'll get your embroidery finished before you travel, nothing worse than coming back from a holiday to finish something, at least for me, it just feels very boring!! And Aud what a lovely plan for the day, thinking about the holiday and taking MIL for a boat ride on the fjord. Having had the hip problem I can just say that if you've got chronic persistent pain it puts a whole different, more difficult perspective on life generally, but a caring DIL who makes the effort (or in my case DD) makes all the difference. I'm sure she'll love it Have a good day everybody Love & higs Christine

Good Sunday Morning!

It's sunny but chilly here in Pennsylvania today. I haven't been here much this week because I'm supposed to avoid knitting for a little while until the tendonitis in my elbow settles down and the withdrawal is really painful (maybe more than the elbow!). I have made several good yarn purchases this week, however, so I'm ready to go when I get the doctor's release.

This morning I looked over my plans for this year's Farm Show entries and made some adjustments. Our county also has a fair, but the Farm Show is a much bigger event and has better competitions in crafts and needlework. After classes end in May and final grades are submitted, my summers a blur as I race the clock to get my entries ready.

Later today I'll make a run to my Dad's to pick up a couple lapghans he has completed. Every year on my grandmother's birthday (May 27), I take a collection of slippers and lapghans to the nursing home where my she stayed before she passed in 2000.

Well, I guess that's enough chatter from me. Have a great day, All, and knit a couple rows for me!

It's cloudy and sunny here in Ohio. I'm in the process of packing to go on a mini-vacation. I'm going to a State Park and spend a few days in a cabin, by myself. I'll read, knit, watch videos, hike, sit by the lake, and do exactly what I want when I want :) I like to do this when there are very few people there so I check cabin rentals online to see when they are mostly empty. I do this in the spring and again in the fall. Some people think I'm crazy for wanting to go off by myself and others totally get it. It rejuvenates and energizes me when I have time by myself like that. So tomorrow morning I will be sitting on a deck drinking my morning coffee and seeing nothing but trees.

Saturday, return next saturday, Mirjam!

COPY of message(not important, but just so you can read!LOL!)

****May 11, our school is 75 yo, and we celebrate the jubilee with a performance, where everyone, pupils and teachers, are at the stage (Not at the same time!LOL!)

May 13, a collegue and I leave fore 1 week in Barcelona, and we really DO look forward to that week. WE have both passed 60, and then we get an extra week off! We can take that week whenever we "want" in the year. But of course, we try to do it when we make as little "trouble" as possible. We are "good girls" and brought up that way! LOL!

We are happy to travel in spring! It is a better time than summer, we think. It is also much easier to get a less expensive flight and hotels; at least we were very lucky this time!**** AUD ;-))

Thanks Hesira and Aud,

I had a very nice time. I watched 5 videos, I frogged the sock a few more times, and I accomplished my goal of hiking around the lake there. It's pretty rugged terrain, especially for Ohio, so I was pleased with myself. I've just started hiking within the last few years and I love it. I even went exploring to find an abandoned haunted tunnel and in the picture I took, it almost looks like a ghost is there :)
