Happy Sunday

I am rather late today - blame it on Frank - it is his birthday and I had to leave the phone line vacant for him to get all his good wishes !

Anyway being late I can actually say good Sunday morning to those in Europe or the UK - I can also welcome eastern states/provinces in USA/Canada it being 1.17 am Sunday morning there - maybe some will just be getting home form Saturday nigh parties !!***

The western areas of USA/Canada are still lagging in the depths of Saturday night - but they will catch up to the rest of us soon too.

Last night we had friends in to dinner to celebrate FK's 76th -it was good to be able to tell him he is now on the wrong side of 70 !!!! This meant a very late night because after the guest left we watched the semi final of our Rugby League Team ( which we had taped ) - we really need not have bothered as they lost dismally.

Then thismorning I had the doubtful pleasure of being able to watch Leyton Hewitt loose in the USA gran slam. UGH losses al round - at leas the party was good !**

Even the weather is bad - cloudy and cold - well cold for this time of year - I have to wear a light jacket - not that I am complaining as I love the cold weather.

So that has been my Sunday - all quite enjoyable except for the sports losses - but there is always next year.

God bless Gwen

to all of you: yesterday was beautiful here, I cancelled everything I had to do in the house, went out in the boat, persuaded DH to let me pick him up at a quai in town (no more extra work for him!!), and we had a relaxing tour in the sun. After have "delivered" him in town again; (he HAD TO go home to watch an IMPORTANT soccer game) I took a longer trip to fish in the atrenoon sun (not the best weather for fishing) but I got some! I felt how my shoulders fell down whwre they really belong, and I cannot remember last time I had such a good nights sleep! The sea is so relaxing for me! AND today I have painted window frames. Inside. It's pooring down outside! Have a good sunday, all of you!

Happy Sunday! And Happy Birthday to Frank! :o)

It is gorgeous and sunny here with bright blue skies, and it's warm again today.... one more day to be able to use the pool.

I will be puttering around rearranging a few things in the kitchen, and in the computer room. I know, I did the computer room a few weeks ago, but I want to try something different and see if I like it better or not. ;o)

Have to take a look and see what's in the freezer part of the fridge to have for Sunday dinner. If nothing, I still have that $20 in my wallet that I can buy some meat.... hmmm, maybe pork chops.

Oh, did I mention that Matthew *finally* got through on the phone to the Unemployment office and was told that his first cheque should be here either on Monday or Tuesday? The telephone bill needs some money paid on it so they won't cut it off. I spoke with the lady I know who works there and explained the situation, so she's not expecting full payment as we have to put gas in the van for job hunting, etc and food on the table too. That's the reason I'm not too concerned about *possibly* needing to spend part of the last $20 we have today.

Still no news from the Appeal Hearing board as to whether or not I've been approved for Disability. I'll post a message when I finally hear from them... but she does have 60 days, which brings us to Oct 22nd (the day before the 12th anniversary of my Dad's passing).

Peace! Gemini

I smiled when I read about your fishing and where you said it wasn't the best weather for fishing. I remember how much my Dad loved fishing, and he always said the best fishing days were when the sun wasn't out, and the sky was overcast. I guess the fish tend to hide from the sun. ;o)

I do enjoy reading about your time on the boat, it always sounds so peaceful and relaxing. My mind likes to imagine how beautiful the scenery must be when you are out on the water and looking back toward land, with the mountains looming skyward behind the towns and villages. :o) Someday I will make it to Norway to see with my own eyes!

Peace! Gemini

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

DH smoked three beef briskets yesterday...one for us, one for some friends (who are reimbursing us for the meat) and one for some friends who have a new baby. They are now cut up and awaiting delivery.

Today we will continue another project DH started yesterday. We are putting an epoxy coating on our garage's concrete floor. Yesterday DH cleaned and prepped the floor. Today we actually put down the epoxy. I have to help with this part. No parking on it for seven days. And we are only doing 1/2 at a time because there is stuff stored out there with no place else to put it.

I finished my knitted Christmas stocking and will take a photo and try to find a place to post it so everyone can see. I'm very proud of it. :-)

Be cool! BonnieBlue

Good afternoon ladies.

First, Gwen, wish Frank a happy 76th birthday from Tom and I. That must be a great number as our two neighbors both turned 76 this spring.

It's a lovely fall day here in upstate NY, but returning to heat and humidity tomorrow and Tues. Darn, I just got used to not having the fans on. LOL

I've been making face cloths to mail out tomorrow, have 16 ready to go.

Hugs,

Nora
