Although this is my first post in this group, many users here will recognize me from the wreck (rec.woodworking). I'm just saying that so you won't think I'm some no account, ne'er do well doing a fly by spam drop.

My right elbow is unblemished.. lol
on the mini, you had to remove the tail stock to turn a bowl, or you couldn't get the chisel in position... Luckily, just before getting a bigger lathe, I watched Bill's video (which I would recommend to anyone that makes shavings with a lathe) and learned to take the live center out... I'm sure that Bill learned this the hard way (ouch!) and I'm sure glad that I didn't have to..

Hi Martin, I posted a correction in English that hasn't made it to rcw as of now. That sure was a poor 'w'elcome. Sorry Rod.

I learned the hard way several times. But the chuck only had to bite me Once.
Just don't bring the bad attitudes and flames along with you. This group is based on love and respect, Kumbaya! *G*
