Defenseless? You ought to see the front of my Jeep! Over $2000 in damages and the deer walked away. Well, actually he RAN away. Unlike my Jeep.

We are so over populated with whitetail deer in our area, we may lose our Jeep Grand Cherokee population..................

I have had two under-25s and two middle-aged people on my car insurance - four cars - for years. One year three of the four vehicles took deer, but the company paid their thousands without complaint, and without raising the rate.

Have only personally been to two human fatalities in vehicle/deer incidents, but there is a big difference in the way people perceive them. Was on a motorcycle/deer collision working on the oozing roadrash strawberry that used to be a rider (also humerus/ tibia), and was forced to keep answering rubbernecking motorists who wanted to know if she was going to keep the venison.

Many thanks George. You have turned the tree huggers against the white tails. Maybe the Green People will let up on us now and you and Glenn can turn some western white and cypress. There's hope!

Ever step between a rutting Buck and a "heated" doe? Just watch the Citi bank "magic rabbit" commercal! -- No sense in being pessimistic - it wouldn't work anyway.

So, go and hunt them for meat. I got nuthing against that, it's the doing it for sport that bothers me. I am sure you must have plenty of restaraunts that will be happy to buy the meat, and other companies that will buy the hides too. The rest of the rednecks didn't READ what I wrote in the 1st place.

Honest answer:

That is kinda like "neither nor there". See? I do not turn wood, am not a tree hugger either. I pay attention in this NG because I am an enthusiast. I would like to be able to have a lathe, but considering my current living situation, I cannot. If I was doing it, it would be for the anything I could make, the art and the beauty of it as well, possibly for makin' some dollars too. Some things I have seen are strictly mind-blowing.

Honest enough for you?

Mr. Feldman I thought you were dead, huh? So you went into hiding and took up turning as a hobby or what? How's that hump anyway... does it still shift from one side to the other?

Probably not Marty but I've seen a few tree-huggers and trolls in that garb and with that affliction.
