I am removing some large hibiscus plants soon and was wondering if the wood will be any good for turning. Some of the larger branches are over 2" in diameter and I believe the stumps are fair size as well. Is this wood going to be of any use to me? Is it a safe wood to turn? Thanks alot.

Hibiscus that size should be great for turning. Understand it is a tight grained white or pale colored wood that is rather light in weight. I have never turned hibiscus but once bought a decorated egg shaped piece made from Tahitian hibiscus.
