Turning in Houston

Hate to brag, but I got a couple of tickets to the Super Bowl game and will be in Houston for five days. Are there any sites of interest for woodturners (or those of us aspiring to be!) in Houston? TIA, Jay Sweeney in NH (and glad to be leaving the cold)

There's a Woodcraft store there. Scalp your tickets and you should have enough to get a nice new lathe. ;)

been to the store, but I buy stuff from Steve every year at Texas Turnor Two. I would definitely swing by his store.

Houston Center for Contemporary Craft and The Cutting Edge (wood andtool supplier): the owner is a very good turner. There is another supplier on I 45 North (forget the name) where one of the employees, Diana, is a turning teacher.

============================= Hi, If you're going to visit The Cutting Edge, give them a call before you go. They have moved and the address in the phone book is no longer correct. They are now on the Beltway access road at Southwest Freeway (US 59 S.) It's not far from their old store.

The name of the store on I-45 N, is Woodwright Store at Spring, Tx. Nice folks with teaching shop and folks who are turning oriented.
