REally big show in Houston......

Hi. I would really like to get to go to the Houston show. And I need to go to Market too.

But.......... I need some place to stay. Or someone to stay with. I would probably drive over, so would have a car if needed. If anyone would like a house/room mate for the duration, please, please let me know. (Even if I could find someone to stay with for a night or two of market and then someone else for part/all of the "festival" part that would work.)

Thanks for considering..... my e-mail is not munged so you can contact me off list. Thanks again.

yup, me too. :) i really want to see the Houston show. i realize its so late now that even getting in without tickets in advance might not be an option. does anyone know about this? as for where to sleep i'm told that is all booked up in advance. from what i've heard folks book after each yr for the next yr. so ya need to book 2 yrs in advance. eeeeek! i'd rather wander thru the show with a buddy anyhow. i dont like doing stuff alone at the best of times. with what i 'need' to do in usa i just couldnt be sure of any dates so booking in advance just wasnt an option. i'm still unsure exactly what i'm doing when but i'll be in calif someday next week, then heading to detroit, then WV, then...... so if i'm gonna see Houston show i'll need someone to take pity on me and have a spare bit of floor i can bed down on...a pillow and quilt would be much appreciated as well. oh how stupid i feel beg'n and its not even for stash, which i really dont need anymore of but i'm sure i'll bring home heaps again this trip, just cant resist all that lovely fabric. so i guess for me its.... got spare floor space? i can fill :) going to the show? i will be your buddy :) heck i'll buy ya lunch there and something to add to your stash as well. i'll help carry your stash acquistions as well. thanks for any offers in advance, jeanne

Howdy!

The Quilt Festival is open to the public w/ tickets for general admission on sale until shortly before the show closes, Sunday evening. The last weekend of Festival many of the quilters head home, rooms close to the show are empty and available; reservations are easier to make. I found a room in the Hilton Americas, the one connected to Brown Convention Center (where the quilt show is), less than a month ago. Houston's a big city, lots of places to stay, taxis are everywhere.
