but for 9.95...(IIRC) and yeah it could be a better design, the better ones don't have the blade and the handles exactly on the same plane.

I was rear ended and had trouble with the tendon on ther right thumb that ended up with surgery after a year. You have my sympathy, because it defnitely gets in the way. Hopefully, you won't have to bother with it, but I'm still wearing a brace to limit movement when turning and driving.

got the stitches out yesterday (around 16) I hope it gets better, because after 2 weeks in that splint my wrist is very weak, no control of any fingers really(can't grip even with the other fingers, and they don't respond to what I want them to do very well) and I've got at least 4 more weeks to go. so much for keeping in shape. at least my one handing skills have improved a good deal, and I have much more time I am willing to devote to good sanding/finishing of all projects, not just turned ones. once again, don't grab tools, they bite.
