Hi Manfred
You know Acacia, (Wattle) as you call it in Aussy is the largest genus of trees, there are over 1200 different ones around the world, some 700 in Australia and the rest all over, some are shrubs but most are trees, some of the most beautiful wood is Acasia(Wattle), so you can have who knows what kind of Wattle, I would say go for it, you will find out.
Have fun and take care Leo Van Der Loo

not a very useful, accurate or reasonable comment. Why try to scare someone without more information? There are, as noted, MANY Wattles, with many different characteristics.
