Delta Midi

I seem to recall discussion of a metal locking lever for the tool rest post to replace the flimsy-ass plastic lever supplied. Can anyone provide a source and part number?

TIA, Buddy

Hate that original handle. Mine broke in a few months. I didn't find a metal replacement, tho I didn't check the industrial tool catalogs. It's an 8 MM bolt, make sure you take the old part with you to the store when you buy a new one, or find an actual handle online and wait. I turned a small wood handle, used a bolt, a nylock nut and two star shaped type lock washers to make the rest of the handle. Works for me, and costs about 2 bucks'

Hi Buddy. I was waiting before replying because I can't recall the exact product I replaced my handles with and was hoping someone else would be able to give you specifics. Even reading my messages in the archives wasn't very helpful.

I do know that I ordered mine from Reid Tool - they're called "adjustable handles" and come in plastic or powder-coated zinc. Cost is about $7-$9 ea. Reid has always provided good service and reasonable shipping costs - unlike MSC , in my experience.

BTW, the latest Midi's apparently come with metal handles - guess Delta got a lot of complaints.
