2006 NYCO Done

Last night I finished the second sleeve on my NYCO sweater. I will hide the ends this afternoon, so I am calling it finished for whoever was keeping up with the NYCO projects.

After I block it I'll take a picture and try to find someplace to post it.

DH wants me to enter it in the creative arts show of our upcoming San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo, so I guess I will.

WTG for finishing Bonnie.

May I ask what NYCO stands for? New Year Cast Off perhaps?

New Year's Cast On. (I asked the same question last year.) It is supposed to be something for you, not for someone else.

Its about time to figure out what the NYCO will be -- I think I will make a felted bag for me. I am always leaving projects on the family room couch and an attractive bag would look better than what I am using. I have some wool yarn that should be good for this purpose.

That would be Darlene (Craftkitten). Way to go Bonnie! Congratulations.

I haven't finished mine for 2006, and won't be. I've decided (for the 2nd time) I don't like the yarn I was using, so will be frogging it (the shawl) again! I guess there's no point in me trying to do a NYCO.... I keep interrupting myself to work on another project.

Have you decided on a project for 2007?

It could stand for "Not Your Common Object." Mine is my first pair of self-striping socks--and I better like these, since I went for the bag sale and have 10 balls. So far, very good but now I'm in the scary heel turning phase. I'm looking forward to being good enough at sock knitting to be able to customize them a little. Madelaine
