Hello all, I am trying to make 3 of these ponchos for my DGDs. I am close to having the 4 sections done on the first one and do not understand the finishing section. See pattern at this site.

is the lion brand version of the MS coming home poncho in child size.At the end, you sew up all the seams but one and then knit the neck.end????? Shouldn't I be sewing up the last seam at some point? Or how willit fasten?I may be able to see how this works better when I get there but right now Iam just not getting it.Thanks for your helpCarol in TN

Carol, the last seam is left open until after the neck is finished, sewing the 4th seam was omitted from the instructions. I am guessing it is done this way so you can use straight needles. I would just sew all the seams and finish it on circulars. DA

Thank you. That was the solution that I was leaning toward. Don't think that I have that size of circular or dp needles. I may have to make a trip to the store for that part. I hope nothing else jumps in my cart while I am there. hehe Thanks again, Carol in TN
