Aenne Burda

Hi!

I just read that Aenne Burda has died today, 97 years old. She has been a central figure in making fashion accessible to everyone and very few in Europe don't know her magazines. For me they had a special meaning since they got me interested in foreign languages, even if I never learnt German properly. They helped me immensely with crocheting as well, so I am very grateful to her job.

Thank you Aenne, may you reast in peace.

I searched for an article in English but I couldn't find any, so I give the link to her publishing house page:

Some women really keep a civilization going on, even if in a humble and inexpected way. Aenne Burda was surely one of those. Rosa Parks another one (she was a seamstress!). So different, so similar. I'm sure they are now chatting in heaven.
