Hi Karen, I was thinking the same thing! LOL.

There is a bobble in this ? Oh icky just saw that ! Lots of them! I was asking you if you had bobbins of yarn in the back. Oh dear. I have been afraid to try them and avoiding any pattern with bobbles so guess I am learning now. I likely will be happy to learn I hope I hope. I printed your instructions in case I get to make them sometime in the middle of the night. I am expecting them to be hard hard hard. The reason I am saying that is a wool farm up the coast was going to do a bobble sweater for me once and we had to wait a long time because she said they would need the most experienced knitter they hired to do that. Oh boy. Jump right in I guess ! Still waiting on my yarn and glad to see yours is a DK weight as well ! And also size 6 American. i think 4mm is the same as what I gauged on --yes indeedy. This should work right until i get to those blobs! You will likely hear my screams there from across the pond that day ! We stayed in Bury St. Edmunds once near Cambridge; are you anywhere near there ?

I haven't done bobbles yet either, it will be a first for me. I figure if they don't turn out, I'll just sew buttons on instead. :) (kidding)

Hi Barbara,

Actually the bobbles aren't so difficult, they're just a bit time consuming. I've always avoided them too, until now, but I couldn't work out what to use instead so I gave in! Don't let them put you off making the vest.

Bury St Edmunds is about 35 miles away, so not very far! I'm amazed at how many rcty-ers have visited this part of the world.

The bobbles aren't all that bad, but sewing buttons onto knitwear for decoration is nothing new, so why not? :-)

We also stayed in a small place called Walsham le Willows near there... Been there many times. Love your area about better than anywhere in the world to visit!
