Liz I have recieved your lovely squares. Not two but four very nice ones, with great postcards from Windsor and the Royal Family. I do not know if you are aware that Otto and I are at the moment caring for an 88 year old, old neighbour. She just adores the Royal Family and when I am going to Toronto, on the 12th, I will take these cards to her, she will be just thrilled with them. Margaret hwo now is 88 years old, lived for most of her life in the same house in Toronto. She was born in Scotland, and came to Canada when she was a three year old child. Her parents had a house build in 1926, or there abouts. She lived in that house after she married, really never living anywhere else. It was very hard for her, that we had to sell her house this summer, after so many years in the same place.
Margaret never had any childeren, and when her husband died in 1970, really no close family either. No brothers or sisters or uncles or aunts. We adopted her, or maybe she adopted us, when she so suddenly lost her husband.
This summer she had a bad fall on the bus, four fractured ribs and a fractures vertabrea.
Margaret is an avid fan of the royal family. We had to sell her house this summer so she can be cared for in assisted care. When Otto and I cleaned her house we found old news papers with stories about the royal family from many year back. I know that she will be tickled pink with these cards. She is a feisty woman and has a ready smile most of the times. Thank you a bunch, it is going to be a very nice gift to bring her next week.
