Baby Blanket pattern Req.

I saw a former co-worker making a baby blanket that had the appearance of being 3D, it may have been some variation of a dc stitch, not sure. I never got the chance to get the pattern from her, and they no longer work there. Any one have any links to something similar?

TIA Bryan

Hi Bryan,

I wonder if it was the puff stitch.

Thanks for the link, not the pattern I was looking for, but a nice one I'll use also. It's more of a square shape, probably something as simple as a dc then a trbl on the row below, dc trbl, etc. Can't exactly remember.

Thanks Bryan

Thank you for posting that URL, Peggy. I hadn't really seen too many patterns for this style and I've had a double-ended crochet hook since I learned how to crochet... just in case I came across a pattern I wanted to try. I *had* started what I suppose would be an afghan back when I first got the hook and playing around with it to see what it would look like.... I wasn't sure I was doing it right, so I ripped it out and used the yarn for something else. I actually should have continued because even if it hadn't been right (turns out that it was), I did like how it looked, and I liked the colors too.... deep purple on one side, and deep pink on the other side. :o)

Saw someone else doing something similar at work today, asked what it was and it's simple, like I thought:

row 1 chain row 2-3 dc body 1 or 2 dc (depending on the result you want), then dc in the post, don't know the official name of the stitch, I'm sure there is one) and repeat.

It may have been a basketweave stitch. Or one of the post stitches. (where you go around the post in the row below and then bring up your loop) here are baby blanket links
