I added a picture of the squares I was thinking about doing for the baby blanket. I was just doing this to get the gauge. The square is 7" and I was thinking about making a 40" x 40" blanket which is about 6 squares long and 6 squares high. What do you think? ?The post exchange (think Wal-Mart without the food store) only has pink and blue and they both have silver thread running through them. It is Red Heart Baby Soft Pompadour. I am going to look at the German yarn stores this next weekend and see what I can find. My pay is fixed (I think) so I have plenty of money to spend. I was thinking I could do variations in the pattern with the different yarn. Here is the link
