Knit as for a sock with heel, toe up or cuff down. Just don't put in the heel. Fun fur should work just fine.

Sorry Carol haven`t found it [but met loads of other nice things , but I am sure i knitted them with a Ribbing that was diagonal ,,,, because i noted in my work copybook , Knit heelless socks with this pattern ..... St should be multiply of 4 ,,, cast on wanted number of st , put marker for begining of rounds. round 1,2; k2 p2 round 3-4 k1, p2 k2,,,,,till end finnish with k1 round 5-6 p2 k2 round 7-8 p1 , k2 , p2 ,,,,, till end p1

it will make a diagonal rib and will make the foot better and the place where heel is feels beter more elastic ,, [ i used to have a pair for me !!!! mirjam
