Mirjam, I think someone talked about a book like this, some months ago! I cannot remember the name. But I got curious, and did a search for "knitting" at Amazon (online book store) ...and came up with 1444 answers! LOL!! I think we should wait for others to tell us!

I found a message from Els, from May this year, I hope, Els, that you don't mind I copy a bit of it here? Could it be this? """I recieved the most wonderful little book in the mail yesterday. My daughter's neighbour showede it to her, and Peggy knew right away she had to buy it for your yarn junkie mother in BC.
The book is called "At knit's End; meditations for women who knit too much" This book is written by Stephnie Pearl-Mcphee (the yarn Harlot) """"
If you go here, you can read a bit in it:
Hi Mirjam,
I think the one you are thinking of is called "Knitting" a Novel by Ann Barlett. I've read the one that Aud just told you about and it's good too.
Hugs,
Your twin,
Nora
I bought that book, Mirjam, and really enjoyed it. It is set in Australia, and is more about relationships than knitting.

Since the start of this post is missing from my list I miss part of this converation thus I am not sure what book you are all talking about. I think I may be back now for real so maybe my answers will not be so fragmented anymore...
Happy New year everyone

Yes that is the book, I did read it after Katherine told me about it and it is a light reading, but fun
Els
Good to "see" you again, Els. I hope that you are, indeed, back for real.

With a little hick up here and there, I am here. New computers, great adventures, as long as you are also in an adventurous' mood....Ha, ha
Boy oh boy it sure does get complicated, add to that a new scanner, and believe you me, my head is spinning.
Els
LOL I know that feeling!

It is a great learning curve and keeps my brain young....at least that is what I am told. Lots of face wrinkles but a young mind
Me, too!

Katherine, with the ICHAT, you do not only see the kids faraway, but you look at your own face as well. Shocwaves, I tell you, when you are forever in the 29 year old mind frame.....(lauging with wrinkles all over)

LOL Sometimes I catch a glimpse of myself in a shop window, and wonder, "Who

LOL! I think I have told you before the time i saw myself in a big mirror, and waved happy and cheerful, ...because I saw this lady I thought I knew...!!
(Not nessesary to tell I was a bit confused and ashamed when "the lady" waved back!)

LOL Enbarrassing, isn't it?
Higs, Katherine
You just gave me the biggest laugh of the day. Thanks.
Yeah know the feeling well, that happened to me in a bookstore some years ago. It was bitterly cold and I wore my Eddy Bauer down jacket with a hood edged with fur trim. I got the schock of my life when, while searching the bookshelves for a special book all of a sudden passed a mirrow and looked up and met up with "me" ...cricky, where did that person came from s#@$%t it is me.....I quickly moved on.....LOL
Els
Very funny.......:=))
