Boxing Day S.E.X

Dec 30, 2005 6 Replies

Hi All! Hope you had a very Merry Christmas, or a Happy Holiday.

I went to my favourite fabric/craft store (Len's Mill Store for those living in SW Ontario) to get some Christmas tapestry panels for next year, and they had discontinued colours of Paton's yarn on for 1 cent per gram (eg. a 100 gram skein would cost a $1). So I got:

- 2 skiens of Candiana in a tan colour ($1 ea)

- 2 skiens Shetland chunky in a pale yellow ($1 ea)

- 10 skiens Decor in Sage Green ($1 ea)

- 6 skiens Decor in Aqua ($1 ea)

I also got 4 skiens of Red Heart chunky (I can't remember the exact name of the yarn) but it is grey and it was $1.29 per skien.

Hope everyone has a Happy New Year (and that you aren't all STILL knitting "Christmas" gifts!)

Nadia

Hi

Gee I wish I had of gone that way as I would have stocked up but I guess considering my current stash it's good I went the other direction and headed towards Kingston instead.

You were luck and enjoy your new yarns.

Wow!

You're my kind of person LOL. I'm still over the moon with the deals I got when Craftmart closed. Skiens of specialty yarns for $1.00 each, eveything else was 80% off. I had more fun looking and touching LOL. It was a very relaxing and destressing way to spend the day. Marie and the cats

Patons for $1 a 100-gram skein - wow!

It's a good thing I'm thousands of miles from there... I've been knitting for a month and I still have far too much.

When my daughter lived in Kitchener, and I was visiting, I always had her drive me out to Len's Mill.... it was fun browsing in that dusty old fire trap. I usually found some yarns I wanted to take home.

Congratulations on the additions to your stash!

Kingston? Isn't Yarn Forward in the Kingston area?? :)

Nadia, who better start using up the stash before the Spinnrite sale in February.
