Needing a specific yarn and a big howdy

Good Morning,

I purchased yarn on Ebay to make an afghan for my dil. I have run out and do not want to complete this as is. She, the seller, is no longer listing items. It is such an old yarn that Coats and Clark and Herrshners do not have even record of its existence. My thought is that it is not an American made product as it has French as the alternate language and the person I purchased it from was in Canada. So please help me by searching your stash if you can. I need: Red Heart Chunky Shetland Heather Forest. It is 25% wool, a pretty dark green. The colors Paton's has are not the same and I am wanting to make this perfect for her.

Okay, the rest of the story: In February I left working at the nursing home and started as a traveling nurse, meaning that I take a 13 week stint in one place and then move on. Well, I stayed at the first assignment for 3 rotations and am now going on to a different location, to Largo, FL. I start the 8th, so I am getting excited, but am also nervous about it. It will be that much further away from my home and so on. Working in Jacksonville was perfect, but that job is no more.

In July my cousin's wife passed on. It was such a blessing but a hardship for my cousin. He went out and bought a red convertible as a retirement gift to himself in September and has been traveling pretty much since then.

DS and DGF were married in May. We all took a trip to Montana to another family wedding in July. DD is still dating the same guy and continues in school. Grand kids are fine, but their dad has some kind of illness that has yet to be diagnosed. Nothing else is happening...still knitting away, and still owe some people some squares. I do have the addresses so I will get them out soon, I think.

Happy New Year to all, and thanks for asking, Katherine!

Hugs, Susan

I see that line turning up on Ebay pretty regularly so you may get lucky and be able to find the correct color if you watch listings pretty closely. There are some other wool/acrylic blends you might look at too, such as Darkhorse, Stylecraft, and KingCole. To blend in a slightly different color work a round/row of a contrast color, then switch to the new dyelot.
