Collecting buttons...

Anyone collect buttons, I've sort of started. They sure can be fashionable. I hope to come across some rather old ones at rummage sales. Thanks, Carol In WI

I have a couple of boxes with old buttons in them, that had belonged to my parents. I even came across some other buttons in a very old box that my grandfather made, which contained some Navy things belonging to my Dad. They are buttons from (or for, I should say) a Royal Canadian Navy uniform. :o)

When I find unusual buttons (whether they be old or new), I try to get them to add to the boxes... so I *guess* that makes me a collector, of sorts. ;o)

Matthew found a button on a sidewalk one day that is very interesting... it has zodiac type of designs on it. He wouldn't let me have it though... says it's a good luck button. LOL *evil grin* My Mom and I did a good job of instilling superstition into him. ;o)

Peace! Gemini

Only buttons of stars. I got a Wild Horse saloon button and a Anthony Micheal Hall button so far. Pam-Doggirl3

Speaking of Anthony Michael Hall... I cannot BELIEVE how awfully he's aged and aging! He is totally unrecognizable as the kid from "Sixteen Candles" and the original "Lampoon's Vacation"... I mean, its SAD. Other child stars retained their 'looks', I mean "Opie" / "Ritchie Cunningham" (Ron Howard)... even though bald, still LOOKS like HIMSELF. JM2C, Noreen

well, you have a point there, however, I didn't necessarily mean that they look 'young', I meant that they're recognizable as 'themselves'... AMH does not resemble himself at all... Noreen ing too!

Yes, Pam, I DO remember how he used to look, both in Vacation and in Sixteen Candles (I've never bagged a babe, can I have your underwear?) His facial SHAPE is totally unrecognizable... if his name wasn't up there on his current program, I'd have NO IDEA it was 'him'! Noreen
