Crochet thread sweater

I have a nice pattern for a sweater using #10 crochet thread. I picked up some Aunt Lydia's Classic Crochet Thread for it. Before I start, I was wondering if anyone has used this for a garment? Specifically, How does it hold up to washing and wearing? This is my first foray into thread crochet so I'm not too familiar with the crochet threads.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi Amy! I have used thread crochet for years now. It WILL shrink over time. Stretching it will help, but of course it will weaken the thread over time. As you crochet with Aunt Lydia's, it will be larger than the pattern.(That is how it always comes out for me) but over time it shrinks considerably. That is probably because it is 100% cotton. Remember also to wash your hands every hour on the hour as you crochet so you don't get it dirty. I hope that can help !!

Thanks for the tip! I have been trying to decide wether to make the medium or large, but now I will definitely make the large :o)
