gbaby sweater &ot med stuff. LONG

Hi all, Hope all are well, not so good here, if you remember back I was having dizzy spells with no help from Drs. Spent most of Sat night in ER with more non stop dizziness and headache ,did a ctscan that was fun never had one before, I told the guy to put another quarter in and let it go again! Believe it or not my brain scan was normal(no comments). So he gave me meds for motion sickness, started taking Sun. morning and it made me sleep all day.Told me to see a nerve Dr. on Monday, called them they won't see new patients till next week.- great-@@#$%^&good that is. called the ER nurse back to see if she could speed up the process, she called back they could get me in this week, but they don't take my Ins.

-great @@##%&again! So now I go back in the morning to the first Dr. to have him check everything again and see if he wants me to see a nerve Dr.and find one that will take my Ins.We'll see! So now stubborn me with my head spinning and my eyes not able to focus, decides to work on gbaby sweater,( yarn I got from trip)doing a front K2,P2 rib with buttonholes on circle needles. only worked with circle needles once on a small hat. but I got it done, now to finish the sleeves and seams ,I will get a pic before I mail it to dd. Think I will get an eye exam done soon also , my eyes are really going week, maybe the headaches may not be. and the guy at the drug store couldn't get my Ins card numbers to go in, and asked if I had a MEDICARE card, I wanted to slap him, NO I" m not OLd I told him, and my bfriend says "Get him Granny". great@#$%^%$ time!! I think some times that's why we all love each other so much in this group,so many medical problems to share we all understand so well:) Will see how it goes with Dr. in the morning. Thanks for being here. Jenny

Hi, Jenny.,

Did anyone suggest Meineire's? (NOt sure of the spelling) Get that checked. Hope they find the problem soon, and the solution even sooner.

Just what I was going to suggest, Katherine, or as Mirjam suggested a problem with ears and balance. Hearing the problems with insurance makes me so grateful for our good old NHS, struggling as it is. Hope it gets sorted asap Jenny Love and (very gentle) higs (don't want to knock you over!!) Jenny I am so sorry to hear of your dizziness - I know how debilitating it can be. I have had it off and on for many years - but with the help of "stemital'" ( a brand name) which does not make you sleepy I get by very well indeed - especially if taken at the very first sign of it coming on - your eyes usually feel bad as well - that is if the dizziness allows you to open them in the first place.

If you think mentioning it to your doctor would be worth it , the active ingredient is prochlorperazine malate 5mg. When we were robbed when in the USA and all my medication was stolen I tried to get the same but could not tell the doctor the active ingredient and he gave me some tiny blue pills but they were not as good .

Just thought I would mention these in case they help god Bless Gwen

Hi there:

I was just reading through the posts today . Is it possible you have "vertigo"....just a thought here. I had a friend who had that and your symptoms sound familiar.

Jenny, Sorry to hear about your dizziness. I also think the ears may be the culprit. Infections are hard to find in the ear canal sometimes and can definitely cause your problems. I hope you feel better soon! Hugs Debby (FL)

Sorry to hear about your problems! Let's hope you'll soon be better, and that this is something "innocent". A friend of mine got a virus like that, she is full working and OK now, have never had it later, but it took a bit of time :-(

Good luck with finding out why you are getting dizzy, Jenny! It's such a pain when you know something is wrong and nobody else can see it or figure it out... starts to make you feel somewhat like *they* must be thinking you are a hypochondriac, doesn't it? Very frustrating stuff. :o/

Hey, about your brain scan being normal... at least you didn't say that they didn't find anything... then we would ALL have to add comments to that one! LOL

Feel better soon! Gemini

Jenny, my BIL had a problem with dizziness and it took forever for the docs to figure it out. I have emailed and asked what it was the docs found and will pass it on to you so the docs can rule it out. I know it took them quite a while to think of it, so maybe this will help. They ended up putting him on betablockers and that seemed to stop it.

Hi G! I hope you are OK...I felt miserable when I read about your IV thing and everything...I am lucky my surgeon did not need to do that for me...but only time can show what happens in the future. Best: Pirjo

Hi Jenny,

I'm just getting around to reading your note and it sounds just like what I have had, one of the other gals mentioned it, Vertigo. I had a catscan that showed nothing and the doctor said I had beign positional vertigo. I can feel it coming on now and the only thing that works for me is sudafed. The doctor said a little tiny hair in the innner ear gets out of sync and causes you to be dizzy. Yes, I ended up in the ER one night too so know what you went through. The doctor gave me Dramamine for it, but it does make you sleepy.

I hope you get feeling better soon, please let us know.

Hugs,

Nora

Nora I noticed that the doctor gave you sudafed - which, of course, is used for air and sea sickness and as I said to Jenny I know such tablets are very good and I am glad the Doc found it to help you. God Bless Gwen
