Yesterday was our synagogue's annual Purim carnival. It's always fun for the kids, with all the little games and things to do. They also have a silent auction including gift baskets made up by the religious school classes and some local businesses. I was wandering around the auction area when, lo and behold, I find a "knitting basket" donated by Alamitos Bay Yarn Company in Long Beach, CA
Anyway, I got the call yesterday evening that I had won the basket. Woohoo!!! More goodies! I picked it up today, and here's what I got for my money.
A $30 gift certificate to the store. An Eagle Good to Go knitting tote (I saw this at Michael's for $30)
5 skeins of Caron's "Cozi" in color Blue Jeans. This is enough to make the wrap that's on the wrapper. 2 balls of Fun Fur Prints in color Citrus. 2 pair of Lion Brand knitting needles; 10" scarf needles in size 15 and 14" straights in size 10.5. 2 books: Stitch 'N Bitch (which I somehow managed not to buy until now), and The Knitting Directory by Alison Jenkins. The directory looks like a good reference to keep in the bag. A retractable tape measure in a cute kitty case. And a crocheted poncho that's perfect for my older daughter. Not too shabby. Now to figure out how to get to the store from my house so I can spend the gift certificate
