LOL, I just knew you'd fill in the blank with Noreen. Now, Katherine will probably fill it in with GEMINI, snort! Hugs, Noreen

-also ducking!

I say nothing!

Higs, Katherine

Not that I'm afraid, mind you!

Higs, Katherine

mwahhahahhahahahah... be afraid, be very afraid... (what movie WAS that???) Hugs, Noreen

No idea, but Matthew has a t-shirt that says "Be Scared, Be Very Scared!"

Gemini

LOL How many Newfies do you know who are afraid of anyone? Or "anything creeping or crawling" as my Mom would say. ;o)

Gemini

According to Google, it was "The Fly".

Higs, Katherine

Eggzackerly!

Higs, Katherine

YES! The jeff goldblum one, and gina/gena somebody said it! Thank you, Katherine! Hugs, Noreen

You're welcome.

Ewww, I saw the original of that movie when I was quite young (home alone on a Saturday afternoon with the drapes shut while my parents had gone to the grocery store here in town)... I absolutely HATED that movie. It freaked me out to no end and I couldn't stand having a fly anywhere near me for a very long time after that. Of course I have always had a thing about spiders anyway, so the end of that movie didn't help.

Oh, and I refused to watch the Jeff Goldblum version! Nope... one watching of The Fly was enough for my entire lifetime! *shudders*

oooh! the Vincent Price one! i *loved* Vincent Price. he was such a great creepy movie actor & such a gentleman :)

the Vincent Price one is much scarier. i like Jeff Goldblum, but that version of the Fly just wasn't as moody or horrifying. the original is much closer to the story, plus B&W is just more unsettling for horror, i think. lee

Lee,

I've been looking for you! lol

You left a post here ages ago saying I should contact you offline about threads, and I tried a few times but the emails bounced. Then I left a message on the wrong newsgroup and got a very confused other Lee. haha

Could you contact me? My email is cathy@ the web site at the bottom.

Thanks,

Catherine

I understand, totally!

Higs, Katherine

I agree, Lee.

oh, i love horror films, and bad sci-fi films (because they're usually so unintentionally funny). note though that i say horror films, not slasher films or all those stupid films with gratuitous violence. that is NOT horror. i think the last really good horror film i saw was Blair Witch Project (when i was pregnant, actually). my housemate wouldn't go down in the basement alone for a year after that, or outside after dark... i suppose it didn't help that i put one of those 'corner kids' dolls at the bottom of the basement stairs & there's a bit of construction noise one can hear through our woods...

i saw Aliens 1 & 2, but gave up after that. they were just getting stupid. :) lee

LOL ANd what kind of person is your son now?

Higs, Kather> You ladies are brave i cant watch horror movies since the very first

Just as scary as the movie - : lol- Alison
