Happy New Year Everyone! Resolutions Anyone?!

Happy New Year to everyone. Both of these resolutions sound like mine. We have a fitness room here in the condo clubhouse that I have not even used in the 5 months that I have lived here. I have many PIGS that need finished so I should attempt to work on those. I also know that I will not stop adding to my stash so no use even trying to do that. Carol in TN

A Happy, Healthy and safe New Year! Love to Everyone!

As for a resolution.....well that famous one to lose weight has crept into my mind. Actually, it has been hanging around for a few months now but I have been pushing it aside while I pile my plate with all the trimmings of the great holiday meals and get togethers. My DS and I are joining the YMCA next week. We both need to get in shape and I am hoping the DH and DD will join us. Maybe we can have some fun doing it.

When it comes to crochet and stitching, I would like to try to finish things that have been started. Yes, try to get through the UFO bags. Do you think I will be succesfull? Well, I said the same thing last year about my beaded ornaments and I have finished every last kit I have, so it is possible.

I hope we can cheer eachother on to follow thru on everything we wish to accomplish, yarn realted or not. Cheers!

I am going to finish all the stuff I have started or have kits for. I am also going to get started on Christmas/birthday presents and not mail them late. Kristine in Germany

Hmm -- I certainly need to get into better shape - get more exercise. Losing weight would be a bonus but I suspect the exercise would do me good in any case. I can always go out and walk - not too cold here but sometimes wet. I do have umbrellas and rain gear, though. I have a neighbor who was interested in swimming last year - maybe I could do it with her when she gets back. We have a county pool that has a senior swim period that is pretty close. So -- there it is - resolution is move more.

I also need to resolve to knit the projects I have before adding to my stash - wonder how long I can manage that. I don't mean knit up all my stash - but finish the actual projects that are on my list. (I have a lot of odd ball stash that I work at by making hats, doll clothes etc. as well as a number of actual projects planned but not completed. I won't resolve to use that up before buying more - that's not going to happen!).

Hi Diane,

No resolutions from me. The only thing I will try and do is not buy so much yarn to add to the stash that I already have, but then again I can't pass up a good sale. LOL

Hugs,

I *shouldn't* make any resolutions, as I rarely end up keeping them.. then end up being disappointed in myself. But at the same time, I will likely make a couple of resolutions just to see if I *can* manage to stick with them.... and hope that I can! The main one I think is to try to be as active as possible, and hopefully while (or because of) doing that I can also manage to lose a bit of weight too. Partly because I want to lose weight, but mostly because I need to try to lose some for my health... it is supposed to help bring down high blood pressure, and less weight (and being more active) *should* be easier on the Fibromyalgia.

The other resolution is a secret, which IF it happens, I will then share and tell you all about. But for now, no one knows about it at all... not even my son. I have it typed up in a draft in my email account.

*hugs* Gem
