I'm back and FOs

Can't we just get the Concorde out of mothballs? I always dreamed of flying on that, if I won the lottery.

For many years now the norm is to have pushchairs facing forward. They are now saying that children are learning to speak later because of this. By the time I had my daughter it had become common to have forward facing pushchairs but I hated that idea and searched until I found one facing me. It fascinated me that when she was just few months old, when we were out walking with her in her pram, I could pull faces at her and she would copy me:)) I used to wonder how she knew she was wiggling her nose to do the same as I was doing:))

THe pram I had for Alec faced me. He spoke early, and I never thought that that could have helped.

Yes that would be a wonderful trip, I have always wanted to go and fly in one as well. My sister in law did once. She travels a lot as a DR wife and as the owner of a small medical instrument outfit in Holland. She thought it was a great and fast trip. Now we can only dream about flying in a Concorde, just the vihicle for us.....LOL

Indeed, but I wondered how a baby knew they were copying. How did she know how do whatever it takes to copyme, if you see what I mean:))

Ophelia , the important thing for kids is to Stick each different language to one person , i.e, if you speak English with him , Speak English with him , and don`t try speaking German with him. At a ceratin age this confuses them more than anything... in Bi lingual pairs , it is adviced to parents to each use one langugae when speaking to the children . Best of luck , Multi lingual children gain a lot, Europe has now many Bi lingual people . mirjam
