Knitted Hat Pattern

On the Bernat pattern website under accessories there is a pattern for a stole made with boa fur...the model is wearing what appears to be a knit hat.

I have searched the website for the hat pattern and cannot find it...has anyone seen a pattern similar to this one?

Thanks, Carol

P.S,. I have tried google search for a hat already...now looking for a specific style. thanks

Carol, do you have a URL? I'm having trouble finding the stole picture on their website. Thanks!

Carol,

I found the picture. I don't recall a pattern exactly like that, however in one of the recent Interweave Knits magazine (Fall or Winter 2004 I think), there is a pattern for a hat of a similar style (round, with brims, and with flat tops) out of a wool that I think could probably be modified quite easily to include a fur brim or to include the fur throughout the hat as a carryalong. I've made two of the hats from that Interweave Knits pattern, they are quick knits. I wish I could remember *exactly* which magazine it was -- but I do know that I made the first hat in December of 2004, so I'm guessing it would have been the fall or winter issue.

If you want to get me your email address, I'll be happy to send a digital photo of the one I did.

Also, there is a fiber trends pattern for a similar style hat that includes a multi-fizz brim (yep, I made that one too, I love hats :) That one is shown on the fiber trends website, it's called something like "winter in the city", something like that.

Hope this helps,

the one you are asking about? From what I can see of that hat, it doesn't look knit to me. The brim looksmore like a fake fur fabric than yarn.

Carol,

Did you try emailing Bernat to ask them? If they don't have a pattern already perhaps your request will inspire them to create one.

Good luck!
