Last Nites Knit Meet at the Library

What a neat time I had.....a coworker brought a woman and daughter...who are from Jordan to learn to knit and another woman and her 2 daughters came later that are from India...we all had a fun time and laughed allot in the process. My question is are there any sites with simple shawl patterns with directions in Arabic....actually it's a kinda head covering...not the full face and head cover but just the head and neck area....the woman from Jordan is really wanting to make a pretty lacy one for herself.

Hmm, this is a tricky thing to search for if you don't understand arabic (which I don't - I'm appallingly mono-lingual). Maybe finding someone to translate an english pattern it into arabic would be easier.

LOL I am the same with other languages. Ok she speaks some English....and understands knit and purl I was amazed how fast she picked up the process......my friend Diana would give her verbal directions like knit 2 and purl 2 to end of row. We bring pattern books to the meetings to share and she saw some really gorgeous shawls in lace weight and wants very much to make one but doesn't have the skills yet so I thought a simple pattern would be good for a first project. I just did a search and didn't get any good hits so will keep looking....I am going to loan her a few of my beginning how to knitting DVD's.
