I always prefer one with a variety of stitches - less tiresome than just stocking stitch.

It's always seemed rather old fashioned as a design because of the patterned yoke and sleeves but always looks good on.

I prefer knitting a complex pattern as I find stocking stitch so repetitive I get bored.
