I've begun knitting again after a break of many years and am having trouble finding good yarn locally. Can anyone recommend on-line stores that are reputable? I know about Herrschner's and Mary Maxim, but I'm looking for Mane wool, Icelandic wool, or designer yarns.

My personal three favorites:
I have ordered from all three of them for several years now. Their lines differ so what one doesn't have, one of the other two almost surely will. I have found all three of them wonderful to work with, never had any problems with shipping, products, or charges. Yarn Forward carries Icelandic (Lopi), and all of them carry wide varieties of various designer yarns.
Here in New Orleans we have Bette Bornside (Bornsideyarns.com). She also a few years back opened a retail store - which was not damaged by the hurricanes, but she may not yet have reliable phone service. I have always found her yarns to be good quality.
