Cher, I must admit that I messed around for the first year that my son went to college. Just now starting to work on some projects that have been WIP for years. Can't give up my time here. Even though I mostly lurk, I feel like everyone is family. When I mention my "yarn group" to people at work or others, I just get a very strange look. Carol in TN

Gosh I had forgotten about them that was the 6x6 square exchange for Mark on here, don't know if he still posts but he was after cotton or natural fibers so I did that for him.. the peach afghan with the teddy was for a special needs carer's 50th Birthday... I got in such a twist as to what to buy her, she does the escort on the special needs bus, and takes the children home for respite care, anyway Nora helped solve the prob by suggesting a Teddy as everyone loves teddybears, so I made the afghan and wrapped a teddy up in it...lol She loves both the afghan she uses all the time, and Ted has pride of place on her bed...lol

Thanx Katherine, it's surprising what you manage to do when your siblings go off to college isn't it? I am just beginning to get into some sort of routine with Edward being away and in the start of his second of three years. although he is home every five to six weeks but it took me the first year to get used to the idea, that I suddenly had all this time on my hands, and didn't know what to do with it all, and messed around really doing nothing for the first few months...lol

Glad you like my bits and bobs, it's fun, and I've started thinking about Christmas earlier this year too. Especially for those parcels that go abroad, they take forever to get there even a month before Christmas, and some don't even make it, and have to have replacements sent. This year I'm sending mine out to the USA in early October to make sure they get there, before our UK postal services take on these youngsters from school and colleges as extra cheap rates of pay, mind you we did have some bombs on motor ways and things that also didn't help if I recall rightly.

Cher - your Westies are SO CUTE! Oh - the knitting is very impressive too! I knit children's vests for a charity, and I tried one on my cat once - it looked pretty cute on him but it didn't stay on long enough to get a photo!
