You might be interested in a new book I got from the library recently. The title is Vogue Knitting Stitchionary; it's the first volume with 2 more planned. It has 4 sections of stitch patterns: knit & purl, lace, traveling and unusual. I was a bit surprised to see that are no charts, but just written instructions and swatch photos, for the patterns.
