I just got home a little while ago from the Bluebonnet Yarn Shop in the Austin area. It's in the Round Rock/Cedar Park area, off 1431 and Parmer Lane, in the shopping center with the new HEB grocery.
Wow. It's beautiful. And lovely. And wonderful. And awesome. And and and. I spent over an hour there just going 'round and 'round the shelves, looking at everything and touching the yarns I've only heard about but never felt. I had some good conversations about crochet with some of the staff, and the owner mentioned to me that I'm the second person this week to talk about Tunisian crochet and she's now thinking of putting some Tunisian supplies in her store.
If you are in the Austin, TX area, this place is definitely worth a stop- and-look. Hill Country Weavers (or something like that) is the only other store in town that I know of to carry some of these yarns, but Bluebonnet seems to be dedicated almost entirely to crochet and knit. It's just heavenly to be by so many colors and textures. Such a treat for me today!
