with all this works `almost done`, i really want/need to start a new shirt sweater,, got me a wonderful Color a kind of Petrol Blue , soft wool , will knit well on 4,5 mm needles ,,, but ...... I feel like making some relief knitting, not too complicated [= tv knitting] since i knit downwards and without seams , i looked at several patterns , but when i turned the photo or pattern ,,, it just wasn`t IT ,,,, i am wearing now a light yellow golf where i ribbed k2 p2 , thus i don`t want a similar rib,,, but i also don`t feel like a horizenatal [or circumfencial line ] ..... thus between other projects ..swatched a little here and a little there ,, and the wool doesn`yt tell me what it like to be ,,,, ...... back to do some cleaning ,,,, mirjam

Does this mean you have finished up your WIPs etc that you were busy with last week? A new soft blue wool sweater - sounds lovely. Maybe an idea will come while you are doing the cleaning. Knitting sounds more fun to me!
I finished up DH's gloves yesterday - talk about old patterns, they were made from a pattern book I got from my mother. Book should be used loosely as the pages are now all separate and kept in a folder. It just has simple mittens and gloves but they fit well and I have made so many that it goes quickly. Now to sew the second sleeve on my blue V-neck sweater and I will have the decks cleared for new things here.
Finished sewing the sweater tonight in front of the TV. That was my last year's NYCO - so now I will be ready to put the 2006 one on the needles on New Years Day.
How about a regularly/irregular rib? *k3, p2, k2, p2* is just irregular enough to keep me alert.

Thnak you all for reacting ,, little correction the color is actual Turkiz . The whoile sweater in ribbing i am just wearing this Complete Ribbed one [ where i knitted the hips with a much smaller needle size !!!] it doresn`t feel like ribbing , nore like lace , maybe somthing in Between ???? mirjam
How about what's called a Fisherman's rib? It's a raised knit and can be sort of lacy. Easy pattern...
CO, knit first row, next row - K1, k1b (knit in stitch below), K1, k1b, etc across. Repeat row until done.
